Chris Knighton is honoured with a MBE for services to Mesothelioma Research in the Queen’s Birthday Honours. 

  Chris is pictured receiving flowers of congratulations from Ann and Geoff Wind on behalf of the members of the North Tyneside Self-Help Group.

Chris thanks everyone for their kind messages of support and congratulations ” Receiving this honour is totally overwhelming, I am deeply honoured and will receive this award on behalf of the many victims of asbestos related disease and mesothelioma in particular. Thank you everyone who has supported me over the years, with special thanks  to Geoff Wind for all his hard work in making this award happen- what a wonderful surprise! ”
